Saketa Chadalavada

Saketa Chadalavada currently works as the Operations Manager in the Piscataway Township Finance Department. Prior to working at the Township of Piscataway, he has previously worked for banks, public accounting firms, and nonprofit organizations in various Compliance and Internal Audit roles. He remains very active in the Audit professional space as a board member on the Institute of Internal Auditors North Jersey Chapter Board of Governors, where he serves as the chapter's Advocacy Chair.

Saketa has previously worked on multiple campaigns across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut and continues to consult and help out on many campaigns around Middlesex County and other parts of the state.

Saketa is an active member of his local community in Edison and volunteers much of his time on multiple boards and commissions related to many of his interests and passions. Saketa was appointed by the Mayor of Edison, Sam Joshi, to serve on the Edison Township Administration and Finance Committee as well as the Edison Township Environmental Commission and was previously appointed by former Edison Township Mayor, Thomas Lankey, to serve on the Abilities Advisory Committee. He also currently serves as a branch board member of the Edison Branch of the YMCA and is the founder and chairman of the Chadalavada Civic & Community Association (CCCA), a local non-profit organization which fosters harmony within the community through civic engagement and community-focused events and initiatives.

Aside from his active community involvement in Edison Township, Saketa was appointed by Governor Phil Murphy in 2022 to serve on the State of New Jersey's Asian American & Pacific Islander Commission as the youngest commissioner appointed to the commission and was appointed by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners to serve as a member of the Middlesex County Planning Board in 2024. Saketa Chadalavada was also elected to represent his district in New Jersey as a Delegate for the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

Saketa graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Rutgers University and currently volunteers his time as a board member on the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors. Saketa is an avid reader and movie buff and in his free time, he enjoys learning more about history as well as spending the warm weather hiking or down by the shore with his friends.
