KATHLEEN CARLUCCI - MUSEUM DIRECTOR

Kathleen Carlucci is the Director of the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park. She manages the day-to-day activities as well as onsite and offsite events. Kathleen graduated from Kean University, receiving a B.S. in History and Secondary Education. Her passion for history is being put to very good use as visitors come from all over the world to visit the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park.

Kathleen worked for 20 years for a major hospital supply distributor, her last years as the customer service process manager.  She was hands-on through the renovation of our current museum, working closely with a professional exhibit designer. Kathleen works with scores of volunteers, local non-profits, as well as scouting groups to keep the museum running effectively.

A member of the Board of Directors for the Center, Kathleen has assisted with many important projects through grant funding for ADA issues as well as beautification of the Tower and grounds. The plan for expansion into the museum is creating excitement in the community.

Kathleen is proud of her community outreach programs, which include the Shine the Light experience that second graders from every elementary school in Edison enjoy, involving the Boy and Girl Scouts in encouraging them to do their Eagle/Gold and conservation projects at the site. She continues to bring new ideas to the Board for improvement of the facility and ways in which it can serve the community more comprehensively.
